Health Information Literacy and competencies among health and allied sciences students at medical Universities in Tanzania (2011-2012)

The study assesses the health information competencies among first year undergraduate students in improvingteaching, learning, research and evidence-based practice at selected health sciences universities in Tanzania. Findings of this study may become a basis for understanding what are the significance of introducing the information literacy (IL) course to the first year students at Universities, and what would be the major impact in teaching, learning and research.The study will also be provide the basic knowledge by examining the students knowledge and perception at the beginning of their IL course atMUHAS.
